Despite what you may think famous interior designers are not thin on the ground, and a large number of them adorn the halls of celebrity today. Other words, there are plenty of them are doing an excellent living at designing. We just have not heard of them and can not hear about them. Maybe they are not as well known or as prolific as some artists and fashion designers are, but they exist nevertheless. The reason for this almost unheard of fame can be attributed solely to the fact that interior design did not really take off until the second half of the 20th century.
In fact, until the 20th century were not necessarily the famous interior designers per se. If interior designers, were not known for dissimilar era, but the fame as we infer that did not arrive until very recently when there was a multitude of interests in all things DIY. And for those of us who do not know what DIY is – is short for do it yourself. And specifically refers to the television network. Therefore, from interior decoration and some of its off shoots can be reasoned to DIY that when the world really became aware of interior decoration. And it was not until years later that those dissimilar interior designers began making a name for themselves among the ecumenical public. Like many things in our society that takes a while before it hits the mainstream. Things of this nature usually start with the rich and the rich and then go from there.
For the most part these famous interior designers gained their fame through the usual means of achieving fame, through television. They appeared on numerous television programs for home improvement, and held numerous television DIY (Do It Yourself) programs and basically has her face well known to the public. And that's how famous interior designers of the last decade of the twentieth c achieved more than a meek fame.
There are, of course, the most famous interior designers that you see on television. Others who might be television camera shy. And very often can be as good or even better at what they do than the more media savvy interior decorators. As I said before, there is sure to be a package in this category and they will never know. Those who decorate the famous, including George Clooney, Jerry Rice and the like.
Then there are the famous interior designers who have been around for what seems an eternity and a day and who have made a name familiar to them through their tireless efforts. Yes, not everything is set, it is often long hours to get to the place of fame.These interior decorators are much lauded in their world and are the experts from whom the new generation of interior decorators learn their craft. Many of these "Old School" decorators if they are now teaching his craft.
Just as you look for the names of famous interior designers need to understand and accept that you will not be able to find them all just because you look through interior magazines.
